The Access-It Library software is so much easier and quicker to use when compared with the
previous program I have used. And they were constantly sending out updates which we had to
pay for. The teachers have found it a huge difference, and I can see where the school is
going to benefit greatly through the use of this program.

Access-It is going extremely well, and I'm impressed with its speed and usability, even though it

"I regularly run out the children's borrowing history (every month per
class, therefore twice a year for each child) on Access-It.
I have devised an analysis sheet which I then use to analyse the borrowing history to see where the child are at reading for pleasure, what they are interested in and a plan to encourage their reading in the future. We have successfully used this system (along with a few other techniques) to really increase reading for pleasure at our school - noticeably so.
I would not have been able to do this in such a systematic and efficient way without Access-It."

"We are a five teacher school with around 140 pupils, so we have had to
purchase the 'second level' of Access-It. Although the purchase was expensive
for a small school, we have never regretted it.
My teacher with library responsibilities was so excited by the programme. She is not a 'heavy computer user', but took to this like the proverbial duck.
The rest of the staff have no problem using the package either. We love the way it prints of overdue lists for each class, and letters that can be sent home for overdue books. I sent some letters out recently and the response to these was excellent.
We are a Focus school on a library contract this year and we are attempting to lift the level of library use from simply issuing and returning of books, to a learning centre. Access-It can play a key role in assisting this paradigm shift. Our Library is a vibrant and exciting place, and although it is not due entirely to Access-It, it has certainly helped.
